A DECADE OF SERVICE

Born and raised in the district, Perry began his life of activism in high school by organizing a $20 million dollar solar deal for the Capistrano Unified School District. As Student Body President at Saddleback Community College, Perry led the initiative to pass a first-of-its-kind affordable housing development for students on campus. Seeing the epidemic of gun violence sweeping the nation, Perry joined March for Our Lives, becoming the West Coast Organizing Director, co-authoring the Peace Plan for a Safer California and leading the campaign that helped pass AB 2617.

Today, Perry serves as the youngest member of the Democratic Party of Orange County’s Central Committee, and leads electoral organizing and policy campaigns for UNITE HERE Local 11, helping elect working-class champions and enact living wage ordinances and worker protections throughout the region.
